Hi Everyone
Well I am over that nasty blood infection now and feeling a lot better, I had my Picc Line taken out and have also finished my course of antibiotic capsules. Last week I had another blood test taken for the Liver Clinic and will get the results soon, hopefully my blood levels will be starting to come back to normal. The days are much better now with some energy to do a lot more things and I am also enjoying getting back to my old self, touch wood LOL, but seriously it has been a long time since I have felt this way and I enjoy it immensely.
One thing about finishing the Tx is that you really have to be careful with your low Resistance to illness as I have found out first hand, with winter approaching and the Flu season with it I will be getting a Flu Shot shortly just in case as my body is still very weak in this area. I spoke to a friend the other night and he told me he has to re-treat for his HepC but will be having a years break in between so as to rest his body which is an excellent idea and a safe one.
The rigors of Tx takes a heavy toll on our mind and bodies and I definitely know that we can only take so much of this brutal therapy, I know that the side effects affect everyone differently and also the level, but as far as I am concerned after doing 48 weeks of it, either way it's no walk in the park and a long journey, but one that is well worth the hardships. If I had to retreat I would do it again in the understanding that is is the only key to ridding us of the killer within.
Be Good All and Keep Strong
John
