Day 234

Hi

The Dust is back again and with extreme winds carrying it along, must play havoc with Asthma sufferers and people with respiratory ailments. I guess the car wash people are rubbing there hands together with all this mess everywhere. Today I didn't get outside too much because of our dust storms here, but health wise was another nice day, Slept on and off during the day and I think my body is slowly starting to repair itself. Couldn't work on our Green House today, but hopefully tomorrow will get some more done, need to get some Veggies in and start growing, must put in Spinach if it works for Popeye, think what it might do for me.......HAHAHAHAHA

Day 233

Hello There

Well another easy day today sx wise and feeling better as the week progresses, which is the norm for me after Injection, usually by Wednesday or Thursday I am settling down good and am able to make small plans sometimes for those days. It doesn't always work out, but small fish are sweet and I look forward to after mid week for some break time from the Sx.We had some rain here today and it was very good, it added to our water storage tanks and also gave the gardens and grass a well earned relief from the parched weather we have had for the last 5 months.
Cleaned my computer room and desk tonight, we are still getting dust from that huge dust storm we had a while back and there is another predicted for the weekend, maybe the rain might have changed that I hope, there is still lots to cleanup around the house as everything is still coated in red dust. I have to pace myself here because my mind has Ideas that the body cant carry out at times..... most times, but I give it my best and have learnt early on in TX that you have to do things this way or pay the consequences later....

Day 232

Hello All

Today I went for my weekly GP visit and had my usual Ob's done and hand in my Side Effects Assessment forms, she is going to look into alternatives to the Lagactil for me as well.Told her about my cough and flem that I have been bringing up and she said that I have Bronchitis mainly that has become chronic, so she has put me on stronger dose Anti-biotic and also longer term. GP was concerned and stated that it has to be watched carefully, my weight has dropped even further to a new low of 62.2 KG and now back into the protein drinks again as my appetite is diminishing again, I weighed 75 kg when started Tx, so this stuff is certainly a good diet technique LOL...Bloods were much of a muchness as last weeks, with a small drop but nothing to serious.

I hope you are all behaving yourselves and having lots of fun...

Day 231

Hi

Had a very good day today and was not my usual next day after needle SX times, Felt a bit tired but overall much better indeed. I think the reduction of my Interferon now is better as was the lowering of my Ribas, it seems a bit kinder on my body and better to cope with, mind you its only one needle so far at this dose and may take some adjusting yet. Realistically the dose now is more in keeping with my weight I think and with the present state of my body its a welcome break to have some relief from the sides, even if it maybe short lived.

Its good to see other people are getting to the end of TX now, when you start, what ever length of TX, it seems like an eternity at times and seems an age away to the finish, but I have found that it seems to jump around a lot, sometimes weeks go very quickly and the injections are flying by and other times it drags out ever so slowly. Reading the messages from post TX people gives me more strength to see this through and experience for myself the changes and improvements they have had to their health and well being....

Have a great week everyone

Day 229 and 230

Hello

Friday

Well Friday my Liver Clinic Nurse rang up and told me my Bloods had gone up some more and that I was to have 100 Mcgm of Interferon at next Injection, so some good news there and it made me feel a lot more positive about having the upcoming Injection.. The Rash is trying its best to get hold, I just don't know whats happening again there, but will talk to Gp on Monday..

Saturday

Today I went out down town where they had our annual Art Festival and Parade, they had Hot Dogs, Damper Bun and Jam Cream and Sponge cakes all for Free and many exhibitions of bush craft. The weather was beautiful and everybody was out and about enjoying themselves. I caught up with some people I know from town and had a good chat and some laughs. Had my 33rd Injection tonight and so far seems OK. Feeling a little headache at the moment, but that's par for course for me on Injection nights and I know what to expect now, so all in all a good day today and see what tomorrow brings....

Day 228

Back Again

Doesn't time fly when we are having this much fun in our lives, could think of much better ways to spend our time... LOL

Today the Pathology place rang me up and told me the Fax had come through to get my bloods taken, so off into town and had that done, while there the lady told me that the Liver Clinic has requested a Rule 3 Card to be given to me for the next 6blood tests. This Card enables me to get my bloods done at anyone of there collection points without a request form, which will be less mucking around not having to wait or get signed request forms.

Health is good and did some very small jobs today, basically to keep my mind active and body as well, have noticed the itching getting a bit narcy again, but still very manageable. I have been a bit concerned about my direction in life at the moment, I feel I am changing and the things that once interested me, no longer do so, don't know sort of what I want anymore, I am not depressed or down at all, just the things go through my mind from time to time.....

Good Night All

Day 226 and 227

Hello All

Tuesday
Today I still felt washed out abit, but improving slightly, went into town with Cheryl and paid some bills and done a little shopping and although I didn't do much, was very exhausted after it and couldn't wait to get home. Took it easy and rested most of the day, to let my body recuperate...My rash is still with me but only in small patches now and still a little itchy, but overall a huge improvement..

Wednesday
Tiredness is backing off now and starting to go into my reasonable couple of days before Injection time again on Saturday. Rang my Liver Clinic today and asked them about my Interferon Dosage if needed for next needle, they responded by telling me that I will have to have .4 Mcg now instead of .5 which I usually have and now at the dose for weight formula, I only need 100 mgrm instead of 120 Mcg, as my weight now is 64 kg as opposed to my starting weight of 75 Kg. They also told me they will be faxing a Bloods request for for FBC so they can monitor my bloods weekly now. I really must admit that I feel in myself that the current Interferon dose is too strong for me now and my body is letting me know big time...

Keep Strong everyone
