Day 214

Me Again

Went to town this morning and did some business there and also dropped off my sputum sample to pathology place. From there went to my GP and got her to check out my Tongue and the deep cracks are still there. She give me a blood test request to get my B12 and Folic acid levels checked an if real low she will give me some B12 injections.

I am not sure but I think my rash may be about to flare up again, I hope not, so still ever vigilant with my moisturiser, Steroidal cream and goats milk soap at shower times and at night also. Have cut my finger nails short so as not to scratch myself in my sleep and during the day when the itch comes about.Have to be prepared for these little glitches from time to time and beat them at there own game.
Everything else good and all set for our garage sale tomorrow and Saturday, hopefully there will be no more dust storms......

Day 213

Hi There

Today I went down to town to drop Renee off at the bus stop for her trip her sisters place for a few weeks, this will be good for her to have a break from me and the Sx sagas that she has gone through with me along my journey. Renee has earned this break for what she and her Mum have endured from me, so I feel good about that.

My Sx were minimal again today and mostly some very minor itching and just some soreness still with my tongue cracking, have worked around the food intake by having scrambled eggs, soup and pasta, will be going back to town again tomorrow to drop off my sputum sample and pick up some more anti-biotics and put some posters up for our garage sale.

We had an extreme dust storm here today and with strong westerly winds whipping up huge amounts of red topsoil, made it nearly impossible to see any distance and coated everything in site, looks like a big cleanup coming when it finishes and have to wash everything down and clean up. This dust went half way down the eastern coast of Australia and was extremely thick.

Day 212

Hello once again

Today i over slept by an hour or so and nearly forgot to take my Ribas, think I was still off in dreamland when I woke up, couldn't do much today as I just felt fatigue and washed out, not as bad as usual, but none the less I just had to take it easy. Slept in the late afternoon and had some soup and bread and butter for my tea, which is ideal considering my cracked tongue. As I have mentioned before, I liken Tx to Pandora's Box, there are good times and many more bad times involved with our Tx and each time you get over one hurdle, there is more challenges ahead to confront.
This Tx is no way a walk in the park and it has taught me many things about myself and the way it can change you is incredible, in a lot of ways I think it has made me more considerate to others and allowed me to look at things from a different perspective.

Day 211

Hi All

Went to my GP appointment today and had the usual Obs done and all OK there, still at 66 kg with my weight, she was very happy with my Rash and examined it and said what a difference and I told her the itching is very minimal now too. I have had some other problems to discuss also with her the first one was my sore tongue and lower gums, when she examined my tongue she said no wonder its all cracked and split and could turn nasty. Was advised to take Vitamin B12 for that and I went and got some.

The second issue was my cough still and she checked my chest and said that my left lung has quite a rattle in it and prescribed me some more Antibiotics with longer dose and gave me a specimen jar for sputum sample as well as an Xray request for my chest. The GP also asked me how the Largactil was going and I told her OK and she wants me take it each night for a little while yet and see how it helps my rages and temper, which by the way have been pretty good.

So the outcome of the visit was good I thought and I actually remembered to ask all my questions I wanted to.

Day 210

Howdy

Well today I had my usual day of tiredness and lethargy after my Injection, but overall was quite a good day and even socialised with some visitors  must have been OK for that. Most of the day just rested and chilled out reading, what a difference it makes with this rash healing.
The weather is getting quite warm and dry here now and I have to watch going out into the sun as it burns me very quickly, so on with the sunscreen, another tool from the medical kit.... I would make a chemist shop proud of the range of goodies I have tried out....

Must admit that I felt much clearer at times in my thinking and moods have mellowed as well....Guess all is good and I am very thankful....

Day 209

Back again

Well had my 31st Injection tonight and another one bites the dust, just cant seem to remember where I injected last time each time, may have to get a marking pen and mark positions and dates.... Rash is improving greatly on my lower legs and much of the spots and redness have all but gone, the ones on the rest of my body are healing as well, but not as fast as the ones on my shins have. Felt good today and did some more sorting out and worked on my radio restoration to, my moods have been a lot better since taking the Lagactil syrup of a night and helps with my sleeping as well.
Looks like things are finally coming into line ( hope I am not Jinxing myself here ) and with some luck will ease some of the sx associated with the Tx that I suffer from personally.

Day 208

Howdy

Had another fair day today and the rash is better still, just waiting for the itch to stop now :x Beautiful day here today and at times I was off with the fairies a bit, nothing bad, just drifting along and working on restoring a 1931 Air Zone Console Radio that I bought at an auction. At the moment I have sanded it all back as the cabinet was in a very poor state, and have applied one coat so far of clear varnish and 2 more to go.

Like I have said many times is one of the secrets I think and others as well, is that if you can, try and keep active in mind and body during TX, it helps very much in distracting one's self from the riggers of TX. Also try and have a good laugh when you can with someone or a show or just reading jokes, its a great release of tensions and endorphins and that cant be a bad a thing.

Rest Easy
